Alteryx is a unique company that offers a self-service data analytics platform that allows companies to easily prep, blend, and analyze data with a repeatable workflow — then deploy and share analytics at scale for deeper insights within hours, rather than weeks. The Alteryx Analytics platform is also a hit among analysts and data scientists, because it allows them to deploy predictive models directly into business systems through an API, and then manage and monitor model performance over time — all without writing any code.

Traditional data analytics tools and processes are slow, difficult to use, and unable to keep pace with the rapid analytics demanded by organizations today. Alteryx replaces a fragmented analytic process with one simple and cohesive self-service experience that enables organizations to dramatically improve productivity. At this pace, Alteryx will be as universal in the workplace as spreadsheets are today.

Alteryx’s position in the data science and analytics space attracts a wide array of companies to form partnerships to help Alteryx customers break the barriers to insights in data science and analytics. Alteryx partners with world-class systems integrators, value-added resellers, and analytics experts that embrace the challenge of a modern, data-driven world. Leading implementation partners of Alteryx to note are as follows:

A few notable implementations of Alteryx are:

  • Tableau Server Implementation — Alteryx and Tableau Server formed an advanced self-service analytics solution to fit the complex and varied needs of organizations. Workflows in Alteryx deliver data directly into a Tableau Data Extract, which is directly published to Tableau Server. Alteryx enhances Tableau Server performance with faster data blending and advanced analytics — allowing organizations to pursue new analytical insights with reliably updated data. In Q2 2018, Tableau released Tableau Prep, which it operates using workflows and Tableau Data Extracts, much like that seen in Alteryx. Tableau claims the release is not an attempt to compete with Alteryx, but it is a step in Alteryx’s direction.
  • Alteryx in-DB connector for Snowflake — With the Alteryx in-DB connector for Snowflake, enterprises leverage performance and concurrency by running advanced, predictive, and spatial analytics to analyze large sets of data quickly from within a Snowflake environment. An Alteryx in-DB connector eliminates the need to transfer large Snowflake datasets into and out of Alteryx for analysis.
  • ProKarma’s Anaplan Connector for Alteryx — is designed to help businesses take advantage of their entire Anaplan data ecosystem, enabling complex forecasting use cases, such as supply chain optimization, customer retention, and even geospatial territory planning. With ProKarma’s Anaplan Connector for Alteryx, analysts can extract, manipulate, and blend Anaplan data for downstream BI applications such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI. Analysts can also leverage Alteryx to blend in third-party data to create robust predictive or optimization models that can be pushed back to Anaplan for more accurate forecasts.

There are many players in the data analytics space. The market has experienced a significant growth due to the increased adoption of predictive analytics across various industry verticals. A few of the major ones are depicted in the public basket below:

Gartner also recognized Alteryx as a leader in data science platforms based on its ability to execute and completeness of vision. Alteryx came out on top among players like KNIME, SAS, H20.ai & RapidMiner per quadrant below:

It is believed that Alteryx is placed in the leaders’ quadrant because of their ability to allow users to discover, share, and prepare data; perform statistical, predictive, prescriptive, and spatial analysis; and deploy and manage analytic models using their end-to-end analytics platform. This is a great accomplishment for Alteryx.
